A small village named Kanur is situated near Padamathur, Thiruppachethi in Sivaganga District. In the village, Maha sivarathiri function was organised on 4.3.2019 Monday. The children studying in the village upto 8th Standard were able to memorise songs from Thiruvasagam, Abirami Andhadhi, Thiruvasagam, Panniru Thirumurai etc.,and sing in the above function. Thiru Arutpa was chanted in the above function by Thiru Soundararajan. Officer worked in the Education Dept. and retired and by Thiru Ramanujam, Narayanapuram, Madurai.
