Dear seekers of Truth,

It is an article about what I saw, what I heard, what I have experienced and what I am wishing.

I am thankful to the team of vallalarspace.com who have arranged for a meeting at Vadalur on 21.8.2011 where I had opportunity to meet Mr Thambaiah, the Managing Trustee of Arutperumjothi Trust at Thanjavur whom I would like to introduce as a graduate in mathematics, a herbalist in Indian Siddha medicine, a spiritualist in sanmarkkam and above all a humanist to live with. He was kind enough to invite me for a talk on ‘Thiruvadi Perumai’ on 4.9.2011 which has laid the foundation of this article.

2. Whenever I was sitting within the precincts of Thanjavur great temple, I am always struck not by its grand architecture more than thousand years old but by the divine inception which activated the royal conception in the mind of the great Raja Raja Chola. The same awe and amazement have struck me when I entered the premises of Arutperumjothi Trust which has silently incarnated the heritage of Vallalar and the saint’s legacy to the world in all its reality. The grand design of Sathya Gnana Sabai connected to the Temple of Divine Feet through a conference hall and a sprawling central auditorium as far as the eyes could see, the residency for sheltering scholars all over the world to study and research on the subject of sanmarkkam with no commercial proposition, have been created with a noble intention of propagating the ideals of Vallalar all around the world to one and all alike and initiating them into a meaningful life leading to immortality.

3. Mr Thambiah took me on a guided tour and explained to me in all patience every intricate details of the design and execution of this project complex. He treated me with all patience and courtesy answered all my questions with minute details while simultaneously discharging his day to day duties expected of his chair as a Managing Trustee. I spent the entire day with him from morning 9 to evening 5. Actually the incident which has caused the foundation of such a colossal project is stranger than a fiction but stronger than reality as to how the eternal grace of Vallalar embraces the chosen few to carry out His global mission.

4. I asked him which was the exact date when the idea to create such a project had seized him. He chose to walk me down thoughtfully through his memory lane which is still alive and vivid in details even after 13 long years which I would like to share with you members of the space as a measure to experience the soul of a human being which seeks to experience the soul of Vallalar crystallised in immortality.

5. The day was 12th December 1997 with the wheel of sun was somewhere in between 2.30 to 3 pm. Thambiah was returning from Vadalur dharma Salai after annadhanam done on behalf of his bosom friend Subramanian who was then a senior instrumentation engineer in the Shell Refinery in Malaysia. There was a breach in the road as water from one side of the road was crossing to join the water on the other side in the fashion of a cause way. While the car slowed down to waddle through the water and surged forward in acceleration, a mother goat also plunged from nowhere to cross the road resulting in the convergence of an animal, a human and a machine.

6. In a split second collision, the goat lifted aloft in the impact fell lifeless on the road. The mob frenzied by the untoward incident encircled the car. Thambaiah got down from the car with folded hands pacified the crowd with an unconditional apology and offered an unexpected compensation. Having paid Rs 600/ as a price demanded for causing death of a goat, he was seized by something within and much to his surprise, instead of the carcass of the goat, he saw only the crumbled corpse of his friend in whose name annadhanam only in the noon was performed at Vadalur Dharma Salai, laid in streaks of blood.

7. The vision of his friend’s death was so vivid that it haunted Thambaiah and he was intensely pained in his soul. Back at Thanjavur, consequent to a revelation he gave a detailed fax to his friend Subramanian. He conveyed that the incident foretold that Subramanian in a due course was to encounter his end in a gory incident but he would be given a fresh lease of life which he had to dedicate with all his soul to serve the cause of Vallalar, among recordings of other premonitions. Thambiah is not only a friend but also is his well wisher, guide and a spiritual mentor; Subramanian having experienced his uncanny predictions fructified many a time in the past, thereby reposing great faith in Thambaiah’s words had agreed with his friend without having any idea as to what was in store for him on the 13 the day of this incident.

8. It was 25th December 1997; the euphoria of the Christmas celebration had gripped the Shell MDS, Bintulu, Sarawak in East Malaysia also. Subramanian irrespective of his protest that he was a Hindu was edged out of the refinery along with others with a cake. It was 22.50 pm as per Malaysian Standard Time and 14.50 GMT. The explosion caused due to certain imbalance in the critical equipments ripped open the bowels of the refinery and rattled the Malaysian coast for more than 5 km. A 3 metre steel pipe with a gauge of 6 inches just plummeted to a distance of more than 3 km demonstrated the impact of the explosion. Had he remained within the eye of explosion, where the intensity of heat consequent to the lethal explosion would have cast him, I would prefer to leave it to the reasonable inference of the reader.

9. Blinding light of explosion lighted the darkness within and a deep sense of gratitude rustled through the leaves of his soul before the divine grace for the fresh unleash of life as was foretold by Thambiah some days back. Tears welling in the eyes of Subramanian washed his vision of life. Since then, Subramanian has stuck to his promise till date without any regret. Thambiah told me that his friend is coming to India on 15.9.2011 on a voluntary retirement to dedicate the rest of his life to serve the cause of Vallalar, as a President Trustee of the Arutperumjothi Trust at Thanjavur.

10. It was during this period between 12th December 1997 and 25th December 1997, there was a divine inception of the project in his mind and the grand design so conceived was delivered by himself in an architectural drawing. Probably, we can see a rare coincidence that this was the time when Vallalar had been preparing for his bodily exit within the precincts of Siddhi Valagam at Mettukuppam scheduled in the year 1874.

11. The entire project rises in an east westerly direction spanning more than 250 feet. Sathyagnana Sabai positioned as a pole star shining in a cosmic layout in the east has been constructed into a two tier octagonal structure and in the lower tier right below the pedestal of jothi, there is a vault in the basement where the relics connected with places associated with Vallalar are to be filled along with a time capsule recording the events in the life of Vallalar. A crystal lighted by laser beam powered by solar energy is to glow as arutperum jothi so that its degree of illumination would not be disturbed by any human interference on the pretext to setting at right the wick of the lamp.

12. The central segment is linked up with the Sathya Gnana Sabai with a space open. It comprises of the Temple of Divine Feet in the west end, central auditorium connected to a conference hall flanked by two chambers intended for the Managing and President Trustees of the Trust. The sanctum of the Temple of Divine Feet has been positioned in the centre of the dais on the west end of the central auditorium. Within that sanctum, there would be installed a regal throne intended for Vallalar. Arutperumjothi illuminating the Sathya Gnana Sabai spanning a distance of more than 250 feet would be in perfect alignment with the Throne. No form or name would be there but still those with eyes could see the Saint and those with ears could hear the Saint in their absolute integration with the Master in a spiritual reverence. Along the southern and northern sides of the sanctum, at the far end of the dais descend a pair of flight of stairs down to a subterranean cellar where there is yet another sanctum whose centre is in perfect alignment with the centre of the Throne on the dais.

13. It is within this sanctum sanmarkka arut sakthi, the energy of truthful grace in the form of the Divine Feet based on the model of Tiruperundurai, is to be consecrated. While the centre of the Divine Feet is vertically in alignment with the centre of the Throne of Vallalar from the below, it is simultaneously in alignment horizontally with the base below the Arutpeumjothi at the Sathya Gnana Sabai. In the same way, the kalasa of the Sathya Gnana Sabai is in alignment horizontally with the kalasa of The Divine Temple thereby completing a rectangular energy fulfilment. The vimanam of the Temple of the Divine Feet could be seen as a darshan of singularity from the southern side of the dais on the ground floor itself through grilled opening. In this symmetry, the kalasa of the Divine Feet Temple touches the relics collected and preserved in a vault below Arutperumjothi and the kalasa of Sathya Gnana Sabai touches the Divine Feet below the throne Vallalar as a hypotenuse of the rectangle. The unseen crossing of energy from all these angles converging in the central auditorium is in alignment with the central entrance opening to cosmic energy congregating the souls of this world in the ultimate integration.

14. The devotees are to peep through the holes in the panel from south side as they would be having a darshan of jothi at Vadalur. The devotees who would like to be in spiritual unison with the supreme could sit in meditation in the subterranean cellar diffused in semidarkness blending dim light in a total mindful wakefulness and mindless isolation hungering soulfully after immortality. Infra red cameras have been installed to monitor the elevating ambience of the soul releasing from its earthly relativity to the cosmic quantum state, would be gliding like a kite severed from its twine orphaned from moorings of all of its births.

15. The central auditorium is well equipped with hi-tech gadgets invested in the state of the art acoustic properties. With centralised air conditioning, the proceedings within are sought to be guarded against from the worldly disturbances outside. Adjoining to the central auditorium for sat sangh remains a conference hall which is to be interconnected by servers to the world. Online discussion video conferencing and other advantages of the updated communication technology have been earmarked as part of the agenda of a day. With facilities of openings in the wall the conference hall has been designed to have uninterrupted and unhindered access to what is brewing in the central auditorium. A carefully calculated corporeal reality diffusing in a surrealist spirituality filling the project to the brim with grace would instantly alter the consciousness of the seeker to the abode of soulful penance in a thoughtless state.

16. In the first floor just above the Trustees chambers there are exactly two accommodations for the guests of importance. There is a small hall which could handle around 2oo persons in a small conference. The area entailing the hall to the tower of the Temple of Divine Feet has been divided into two rows, one row on the southern side with accommodations for four or five students per room and another opposite with class rooms where fundamental theories of sanmarkkam would be imparted not in a state of religious monasticism but in the fashion of training the inmates as diplomats on the path of truth to walk around all the earth to spread the edicts of the great Saint. They are to be fostered not as missionaries of any religious conversion but as confidants of universal compassion to demonstrate as to how the world by following the dictum of Vallalar could live in harmony by eliminating conflicts among humanity incessantly wounded by the pillages of war and eradicate poverty and pestilence. The Basic curriculum to be followed in an autonomous capacity is under active study. It reminded me of Plato’s Academy and Pythagorean Brotherhood of the ancient times where they had searched for truth.

17. The first floor and the terrace construction are seen to have been cured with rubber cushioning with a view to absorbing the aftershock effects of earth quakes. He told me that the foundation has been made with such reinforcements that it can house 7 floors. There is a tunnel vertically running through the floors wherein a spacious lift would be installed. There lurks in him an intense longing to finish two more floors within his life time. The materials used for construction-stainless steel railings, grills and the teak wood doors marbles and granites paved, the richly decorated glass panes used for the windows electrical and electronic fittings and the bath room fittings are the choicest materials and equipments of a connoisseur of construction who is seen to have been more inclined towards Vallalar than to his personal residence.

18. He also intends to install rest rooms complying with international standards as available in airports facilities with modern amenities on the terrace of the top floor which by itself appears as a runway placing Trichirappalli international airport at arm’s length and in actuality the terminal is only a thirty minutes drive enabling scholars from all over the world in all disciplines to walk into the international conferences and seminars scheduled in the philosophies of Vallalar without any loss of time. From there on the northern side, just as seeing Chidambaram from Vadalur Sathya Gnana Sabai, so also the great temple of Thanjavur is seen with its tower as a bonsai plant in stone. There appears to be a subterranean lignite fossil bridge between the Sathya Gnana Sabai at Vadalur and the Sathya Gnana Sabai at Thanjavur through which the waters of the river Cauvery seep to the open cast mines at Neyveli.

18. The Trust intends to publish a monthly journal both on line and offline to inform in advance about the programmes around Vallalar. A website and a publishing house would vie with each other to disseminate of the ideals of Vallalar without any element of exaggeration and falsity. A library bearing a resemblance of the Alexandrian library where all manuscripts and copies of the original and translations, the publications related to the philosophy of Vallalar in all the languages, all the books on all other philosophies of the world with their commentaries and books on science to understand and researching on the scientific theories of Vallalar is under installation. Everyone is welcome to declare the details of collection they have on Vallalar and explore the possibility to donate them to the Library to serve the cause of Vallalar. The complex has got a facility to conduct International seminars and can handle not less than 200 foreign guests and make them feel at their home.

19. He pointed a well grown teakwood tree within the premises which is to be as a flag mast before the central auditorium. Somehow I missed a walk through herbal sanctural which is reported to be tendered with ultimate care.

20. Thambiah a graduate in mathematics, has spent 7 to 8 years in apprenticeship with a siddha physician who has taught him the secrets of siddha medicine Actually I was not introduced to his garden of herbal variety as promoted by Vallalar to relieve us from the physical pain to concentrate on the Almighty. The plants of herbals notified by Vallalar are grown with affection and in all tenderness. His apprenticeship for 7 years with a siddha physician who has imparted the secrets of medicine together with what he has now blended with revelations received by him is a treasure in siddha cure. His cures are illustrious in the diseases of mouth cancer, bone cancer, psoriasis, sinusitis, migraines and other headaches, sudden spurts of mental illness, bronchial disorders etc . His patients hail from Malaysia, France, United Kingdom, United States, the Middle East and the South Asian countries. I record with all certainty that Thambiah is a wizard in the diagnosing the physical and mental infirmity by reading through nadi, identifying combinations of medicines with an appropriate vehicle to conduct the medicine into the body to uproot the ailment from its pivot.

21. Thambaiah talked about Agathiyar Paripooranam 400 which indicates the medicine for psoriasis. I was given to understand that a particular micro organism still vibrant in the water contaminated by the ashes spewed during volcanic eruptions in the coat of Malaysia is the prime cause for mouth and bone cancer. There is a manufacturing facility of siddha medicines within the premises. Medicines are being sold at affordable prices to the earnest seekers either as prevention or as cure. An R & D facility could be established within the premises to preserve the valuable knowledge imparted by the siddha physician and knowledge gained by Thambiah together with the herbal medicines of Vallalar could be transformed into a new pharmacopeia to relieve the pain of disease. He has filed a thesis on 28 the july 2011 related to bone cancer with Vice Chanceller of Periyar Maniammai University which he has been given to understand, is under active study by the experts in alternative medicine in the states. It is not with any to intent to get patent but to disseminate the knowledge.

22. While carefully reviewing his life Thambaiah has respectfully reminisced as to how he was fostered by the most compassionate sage Rengaraja Desikar at Thuraiyur who was none other than his brother. His discipleship beginning with the age of 10 at the feet of the sage initiated him into the ideals Agathiyar, Thirumoolar and Vallalar and virtually expanded his spiritual vista and wisdom. It was this sage who has impressed upon him right from his early years as to the effectiveness of annadhanam and has been kind enough to install latest cooking equipments and lighted within the precincts the most hygienic kitchen which is still burning in its mission of feeding the poor for the past so many years. The spiritual devotion and the respect Thambaiah holds for the sage who has shown him the path of Vallalar is inexplicable and christening the central auditorium in the name of Sage Rengaraja Desikar Spiritual Conference Hall exhibits only a grain of salt in the ocean of spiritual devotion.

23. In a more congenial manner, Thambaiah has also recounted with all fondness his friendship with Dharmalingam Swamigal who used to suffer from chronic wheezing trouble whenever he visited India from Malaysia. On one such occasion in the year 1984 having been admitted into the Sea Horse Hospital, Trichy in the ICU and discharged with aggravation there from he was scheduled to board the flight to Malaysia in abject dejection. But much to the surprise of all, Thumbaiah cured him within an hour of treatment with a medicinal herb by name sivanar vembu and steaming using nochi leaves. The gift of cure latent in Thambaiah was manifest by the grace. No wonder the grateful patient had paid back the god sent physician in Thambaiah with a spiritual haven which was launched on the date of Adi Amavasyai in the year 1994 as Agathiyar Alayam to cure many more such suffering souls in the years to come.

24. The ideal of Vallalar is not to create any brotherhood of universality as in the case of the Theosophical Society but to build a beehive of soulful friendly integration to share what is not with anyone with what is not with everyone without any discrimination on the ground of colour, creed and race. The house of brotherhood breeds relativity restricted to the womb of a mother but the sense of absolute unity is unobstructed by any relativity transcends the physical and mental with a quantum leap to the soul. I am confident that the Arutperumjothi Trust which has been created with such a sense of internationality would achieve the ideals of Vallalar in the years to come.

25. The seekers can stay in spiritual retreat here to become conversant with the strands of sanmarkkam, the science of truth. The noble intentions of Mr.Thambaiah and Mr. Subramanian would go a long way to encompass the clusters of humanity reeling under poverty on the face of this earth. An international awareness as to how to live in peace to save humanity from the impending perils of nuclear apocalypse would be the message of the Arutperumjothi Trust. I am confident that the twins of sanmarkkam with their well secured connections around the world could carry the flag of Vallalar with His Grace to the far reaching corners of this world and instil in the minds there with a thirst for peace.

26. This beehive of sanmarkkam comprising of dharma salai, meditation centre, educational centre, sathya gnana sabai and the temple of divine feet with a spiritual conference hall, is to be consecrated and dedicated to this world in the service of Vallalar on 5.10 2011 and on 6.10.2011.

All are welcome to participate and immerse in the blessing of GRACE.
