Dear seekers of truth,
Saint Vallalar has opened the Jeeva Karunya Ozhukkam with an assertion that the object of our existence is to attain the benefit of the soul in this life itself with the grace of god which is to live an unparalleled life of excellence within the absolute natural bliss of god. Consequently the Saint has founded the pillars of sanmarkkam on the compassion of the living beings. It is to be known that without compassion on the living beings, there won’t be any explicitness of grace in whose absence the state of god could never be accomplished. This compassion is not only a critical instrument to experience the grace of god but it is also the only undifferentiated explicitness of grace. Therefore, the Saint reasons it out that compassion is the natural explicitness of the souls themselves and in the absence of such explicitness of nature, the explicitness of god would never be manifest either within the grosser or within the subtler state of the human beings.
2. Saint Vallalar has held that all the souls are the undifferentiated truth of nature in which the natural explicitness of grace rules over in rightful unity as supreme intelligence. Therefore, it has become mandatory that all the souls are to become living beings and multiply in their causative physical bodies configured by the elements. The Saint guides us through the complexity of compassion that if the souls do not become living beings, then, the explicitness of the soul would be clouded and consequently, the explicitness of grace would not be manifest and would cause un-enlightenment, a breeding ground for the bondage of the soul.
3. Existence has spread the wings of life in the bodies of the thoola/sukhuma/karana corresponding to the bodies classified as of the physical/astral/causal. Therefore, thoola dhega/physical, the causative body of the five elements is mandatory for the soul but such thoola dhega/physical body is susceptible to danger as it is hit by the greater illusion. However, grace has granted the freedom of indhiriya (gnanendriyas and karmendhriyas) and karana (anthakarana ego, mind, buddhi, chitham and ullam) to the human beings to protect their thoola dhega/physical bodies with the aid of intelligence against the onslaught of hunger, thirst, disease, desire, nothingness, fear and murder which conspire to annihilate the thoola dhega/physical body out of existence. Therefore, it has become a necessity on the part of the rightfully living souls to have compassion on the souls suffering on account of hunger, thirst, disease, desire nothingness, fear and murder and lift such embodied souls from the bottomless perdition which devastate their present lives because of their wrongful living in their past births.
4. At death, thoola dhega/physical body is subject to decay and decomposition but the sukshma dhega survives death as it is the repository of all the karmic imprints of both thoughts as well as acts whether good or bad of the bygone life. The thoola dhega by itself does not decompose or transmute into the sukshma dhega/astral body or into the karana dhega/causal body.
5. The sukshma dhega/astral body comprising of the anthakaranas, (ego, mind, buddhi, chitham, and ullam) survives physical death and therefore, it is beyond the process of decay and decomposition. The state of astral projection/astral travel during living is not a mere reflection on the mind’s eye but it is a reality within the different degrees of consciousness. The dream state and out of body existence in near death experience and the return of the soul to interact with the living in relation to its past life till such time it is drawn into a womb, are the hallmarks of the sukhuma dhega/astral body. But this body also dissolves ultimately in the cosmic consciousness and whatever imprints of life stored in this dhega are retrieved and brought to the repository of the karana dhega. The soul is the seed of existence and the karana dhega/causal body/anandamaya kosha is the first sign of manifestation of such seed. It is in a state of super consciousness corresponding to the deep sleep state and is the repository of all the thoughts and moments lived by the soul in all the lives. Even this body also dissolves and when it dissolves, all the karmic imprints therein are drawn into the vortex of the soul itself to reincarnate in yet another body/life.
6. The soul has to continue its life in future in yet another body born from a mother’s womb to work out the karmic imprints of its past lives. Depending on the gravity of such karmic imprints of both thoughts as well as acts, the soul may be required to ascend the ladder of existence from the 1st to 6th sense or descend from the 6th to 1st sense.
7. If the dead body either prior to or after its decay and decomposition from which the soul has already moved out in its onward journey, is sought to be brought back to life, then, the soul which has moved out from that body is also to be recalled because it is the soul which lives in a body and there is no separate existence for the body as such without the soul. The dead body reduced into atomic and sub atomic particles after its decay and decomposition can never be brought back to life because there is no body within the grave as all its constituents have been spread like a handful of dust across the space. The disintegrated constituents would be aggregated as matter elsewhere in any plane of space and time.
8. All the matter manifest or unmanifest in this cosmos is constituted by the sub atomic particles-electrons, protons and neutrons comprising of quarks. They cannot be destroyed. At the state of atoms, there is no death which strikes only at the cell state. In fine, the physical body is constituted fundamentally by atoms, and sub atomic particles before the cell state but the constituents of the sukhsma dhega/astral body and karana dhega/causal body are unknown till date. It may be clarified here that any atom listed in the Periodic Table is only an aggregation of same protons, electrons and neutrons in a predetermined ratio. If it is gold, then, that atom comprises of 79 protons and 79 electrons but there is no proton as a gold proton or a gold electron or a gold neutron. In the same manner, on disintegration of the body, the released proton or electron or neutron could not be again correlated to the cells of the dead body.
9. It is beyond doubt from the above that on decomposition and disintegration into sub atomic particles, the same body could not be aggregated again or brought back at least to the state at time of death as the decomposed particles of the dead body have already been scattered across the cosmos and have thus become part of the matter elsewhere in this cosmos. Therefore, the question of the soul sojourning somewhere else to be brought back to its past abode could never be imagined as the body is not aggregated either inside or outside the grave but it is to be born from a womb. Just as the different modules of the rocket launched to explore the space are discarded at different altitudes and finally the module in which the cosmonauts are located is set into its geostationary orbit, so also the soul discards its triple instruments (thoola dhega/physical body/annamaya kosha), (sukhuma dhega/astral body/pranamaya/manonmaya/vijananmaya koshas) and (karana dhega/causal body/anadhamaya kosha) at the appointed time prior to birth in a different body. The soul has to move forward on the path of realization of its past unity with other souls prior to its embodiment through different bodies configured as karmic vehicles.
10. In the Jeeva karunya Ozhukkam, Vallalar has made it positive as to how the soul enjoying absolute freedom at its first birth has indulged in activities forbidden/contradictory to its nature and consequently has accrued karmic imprints which are to be deleted/erased/exhausted in its subsequent births by living good life in different bodies so that the soul can be released from the bondage of destiny and walk to its freedom absolute. Vallalar specifically holds that bodies taken in subsequent births of the soul are not the bodies of choice by the soul but given to the soul by its karmic intensity. Therefore, it is the onward journey of the soul through different bodies assigned to the soul in different births towards its karmic fulfilment which leads the soul to its freedom absolute assigned to it in its first birth.
11. According to Vallalar, the souls brought into existence by the divine will out of the energy of grace are subject to the punishment of grace. It is clear that the god of Vallalar regulates the lives of the souls towards their realization of their unity at the state of souls prior to their embodiment. Therefore, when death separates the soul from the body, the body would be disintegrated into various elements and the soul has to necessarily wait for the body from the womb human or otherwise to work out its karma. It is clear now that bringing the dead back to life by resurrection impedes the unobstructed flow of the natural justice on the plane of karmic existence conditioned by reincarnation. Therefore, it is here that the principle of resurrection and the principle of reincarnation are at loggerheads with each other.
12. The co-existence of the two diametrically opposite concepts, one by resurrecting the dead back to life and another by leaving the soul to reincarnate in different body sets the needle of paradox to deflect between the right and the wrong. I am confident that a day may come when someone authorised by the Saint Himself would resolve the paradox. Till such time, I seek to rest my case in all faith and devotion at the revered feet of Saint Vallalar.

"the explicitness of god would never be manifest either within the grosser or within the subtler state of the human beings." - so this line reminded me Einstein's quote: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. so can we call it as aathi moolam or god particles or grace atoms? Just thought about the way Vallalar praising the lord in Thiruvadi Perumai Songs.
"there is no separate existence for the body as such without the soul. " - I see this point in Agaval lines too so is there any other saint ever said this before other than Vallalar?
Item #10 above, imprints is another great topic and curing is nothing but curing your soul as I understand. Most of the time we say a word Karma and we stop there but I guess it becomes imprints right?. Also I guess, some imprints goes to physical body and some goes to soul. The one which goes to soul determines body assignment I guess. I have this question always who owns imprints physical/astral/causal? What is the distribution mechanism of these imprints? I think it must be recorded in a magnetic field so that it can replay no matter where you go. Any further thoughts?
We get correct answers and solutions for all our inquiry and confusion, when we stay firmly on both Sath Visaaram and Jeevakharunyam.
According to Vallalar, there is no difference between the law of nature and the law of Divine. So, let us go for law of nature. Thus, by law of nature, incarnation is nothing but the continuous manifestation of nature. Then, what is resurrection?. Well. It is nothing but the continuous efforts of human's story telling. Or they do not know how to explain the truth of reappearance of Jesus. Jesus might have been blessed by The Almighty, Arut Perum Jyothi Andavar to live forever in his Pranav Body.
Because, the love and compassion of Jesus for humanity is also unlimited.
Of course, Vallalar's compassion is beyond comparison. Because, Vallalar extents his love not only to human beings, but also all living beings, including plant kingdom. That why, Vallalar was highly blessed by Almighty to attain Mutheakha Sithees. Here, I would like to quote an evidence from Quran. According to Quran, the real body of Jesus was hidden by God to save Jesus alive. So, which is true? Bible or Quran ! Let them fight with their stories. We don't want stories of miracles. What we want is science of Truth.
And, what we need is soul based knowing to explain about the soul. Mind based knowing has its own limitation. Small readings of a scale can not be used to measure the distance between stars and galaxies. We need to use light year for it.
When our soul-knowing starts to blossom, we will see everything as it is. For that, we need to do continuous Sath Visaaram, by sincerely following the four basic principles of Jeevakharunyam.
God bless us.
Arut Perum Jyothi,
