Forward

The team of Sanmargam, Vadalur feel blessed for having transliterated and published the following two very important divine songs from Thiru Arutpa (a collection of poems of Divine Grace) composed by His Holiness Vallal Perumaanaar.

1. Arutperunjothi Ahaval.
2. Gnana Sariyai

The transliteration into English language has been done for those who are not able to read the original Tamil text due to language barrier.

We hope that this transliteration would enable them to read and understand the songs to some extent.

Arutperunjothi Ahaval describes in detail the Nature of existence, manifestation and the mysteries of spiritual governance of the whole of universe by the God of Supreme Grace Light (Arutperunjothi Aandavar). The Tamil word Ahaval (அகவல்) means a sort of poetical composition glorifying the incomparable supreme nature of the Grace of God. The Arutperunjothi Ahaval is the longest one in Tamil language. The Ahaval contains 1596 lines and it has been composed in the form of a Paa (poem) which is known as Nilai Mandala aasiriyappa in Tamil language. The other holy song Gnana Sariyai is equally imnportant Divine poem composed by His Holiness Vallal \perumaanaar which reveals the ways of attaining the deathless life in simple Tamil Language.

It has been mentioned by many Saints and mystics that by singing the songs of Divine Grace with faith and devotion during prayer to God one could get the spiritual communion with Him and obtain his Grace without any hindrance.

The readers are therefore, requested to read these two prayer songs to attain the grace of God and Deathless life.
